Ascension of Our Lord Jesus Christ

Thursday 13th May

Mass will be celebrated at the following times:
Wednesday 12th May 8.00pm
Thursday 13th May 10.30am and 8.00pm

Mary, Queen of the May

Let us pray. Heavenly Father, we praise you for the gift of your Mother, Mary. May this crown remind us of Mary’s Coronation in Heaven when you crowned her Queen of Heaven and Earth. Through the prayers of the Blessed Mary, ever Virgin, whom you have given us for our Mother and Queen, grant that we too may share in the fullness of your grace. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Prayer for the Year of St Joseph

Hail, Guardian of the Redeemer, Spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary. To you God entrusted His only Son; in you Mary placed her trust; with you Christ became man. Blessed Joseph, to us too, show yourself a father and guide us in the path of life. Obtain for us grace, mercy and courage, and defend us from every evil. Amen.

A Poem for Saint Joseph

When the baby borned
Joseph said to Mary,
“What am I going to do about
This little born Jesus Baby Christ?
I never knew it was going to be like this,
With all these Angels and Kings
And Shepherds and stars and things.
It’s got me worried, I can tell you.
On Christmas Day in the morning.”
Mary said to Joseph,
“Not to worry my darling
Dear old darling Joseph.
Everything’s going to be all right
Because the angel told me not to fear.
So just hold up the lamp
So I can see the dear, funny, sweet, little face
Of my darling little born Jesus Baby Christ.”

And Joseph said to Mary,
“Behold the handyman of the Lord.”

With acknowledgement to Lucy, aged 5

WE CAN ONLY HAVE MASS
IF ENOUGH PEOPLE
VOLUNTEER TO HELP!

Our deepest gratitude to all who have volunteered as stewards to allow our public Mass to take place.

We still need more parishioners to help especially with sanitising after the Sunday Masses, so please let us know if you can give some time to help steward, guide and sanitise then we would be most thankful.

Readers are also needed for every Mass.

Please fill in the Volunteer form to let the parish office know which Mass you are able to either steward or read at.

Many thanks!
