Harvest Collection UPDATE!

A massive thank you to all who contributed food to our parish harvest collection last weekend. All recipients are very grateful, as is the foodbank at Maidstone Day Centre who benefited from donations to stock levels. These are still running very low as demand is higher whilst ability to donate is reduced. If you can commit to regular donations of even one tin, it would be much appreciated.
Thank you also for taking the bread from the Fledglings which they very much enjoyed baking for you last Saturday.

The parish will be collecting fresh and tinned fruit and vegetables at all Masses on the weekend of 27th/28th September to pass on to the needy. Please give your offerings to our Fledglings and Flame members or leave under the table in the porch at any other time.
Early Harvest Festivals were called ‘Lammas’ or ‘Loaf Mass’ and the farmers made loaves of bread from the fresh wheat crop which were given to the local church as Communion. The Fledglings will be baking bread for Harvest weekend and will give a small piece to each person as they leave the 10am and 11.45 Masses on the 28th September.
