Appeal for Catechists

We are appealing for people who would like to become catechists or helpers, to accommodate the substantial amount of First Holy Communion applications we have received this year. We are pleased to report that we have had many applications for young people looking to receive their First Holy Communion here at St Francis. Because of this, we must supplement the number of Catechists and assistant helpers we already have.

If you are interested in becoming a catechist, or helper, and would like to support the spiritual growth of the children of our Parish, please consider the following before applying to the Parish Office at maidstone@rcaos.org.uk:

• You must be a practising Catholic.
• You will be subject to a DBS search and certification.
• You should have a passion for teaching the faith and being open to learning about the faith.
• It is appreciated if you have a background in teaching or are a parent yourself.
